Welcome to Prpls. These Terms of Service govern your use of the Prpls website and mobile application ("Service") operated by Prpl Technologies, LLC ("we", "us", or "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Prpls.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Prpls. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and agree to comply with these Terms.
2. Service Overview
Prpls connects people who need help with everyday tasks ("Requesters") with those willing to provide help ("Helpers"). Tasks include errands, shopping, deliveries, and similar services. The platform operates on a trust-based, tiered system to enhance safety and earning potential.
3. Tier System and Background Checks
- Basic Tier: Anyone can register and complete tasks, with limited earning opportunities.
- Verified Tier: Users who voluntarily complete a background check via a third-party provider may access higher-paying tasks and a verified badge.
We do not store full background reports. Only your verification status is saved.
4. User Responsibilities
By using Prpls, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information
- Accept only tasks you can complete safely and legally
- Use respectful, non-discriminatory communication
- Avoid misuse, fraud, or harmful conduct
5. Payments
- All payments are processed securely via Stripe
- Prpls may deduct a platform fee from each transaction
- Performing tasks or paying outside the platform is not allowed
6. Account Suspension or Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Commit fraud or unsafe behavior
- Receive credible complaints from other users
You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us.
7. Limitation of Liability
Prpls provides the platform "as is." We are not responsible for:
- Quality or outcome of tasks
- Missed earnings or opportunities
- Injury, loss, or damage during tasks
- Downtime or technical issues
8. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
By using the Service, you agree to resolve any disputes through binding individual arbitration in the state of registration. You waive the right to a jury trial or to participate in class actions.
9. Modifications to the Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced via the app or email. Continued use of the Service indicates acceptance.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Prpl Technologies, LLC is registered.
